Li Wang is a professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. His research focuses on advancing water separation technologies to address critical and sustainability challenges at the water-energy nexus, with key themes including (1) desalination and water treatment, (2) selective resource recovery and brine management, and (3) mechanistic modeling and systematic analyses. He received his BS, MS, and PhD from Wuhan University, Texas A&M University, and Vanderbilt University, respectively, and completed postdoctoral research at Yale University. Li currently leads several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Commission of Science and Technology of Shanghai. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as Science Advances, Environmental Science & Technology, and Water Research. Li also serves as an editorial board member for npj Clean Water, an editor for Desalination special issue, and a guest editor for Separation and Purification Technology.
